Eva Pierrakos

Eva Pierrakos was born in 1915 in Vienna, daughter of the well-known Austrian novelist, Jakob Wasserman. Her extraordinary ability to give spiritual guidance and to help people in their self-development, was a gift that she pursued with great devotion and perseverance, following the guidance received through her channel. Eva always referred to the entity manifesting through her as "the Guide" and considered her ability to give spiritual guidance and to help people in their self-development as her life task.
Eva & John
Eva came to the United States in 1939 and continued her work in New York, giving Guide sessions and an ongoing series of lectures to those who were guided to her. She was a beautiful, vibrantly alive woman with a keen intelligence who enjoyed life in all its aspects. She loved people and animals and enjoyed skiing, swimming, and dancing.

In 1971 she married psychiatrist John C. Pierrakos, one of the founders of bioenergetics and later, core energetics. The energetic work became an essential part of the Pathwork and contributed to its expansion. Together, with the help of a small group of enthusiastic "Pathworkers," they founded the first Pathwork center in a secluded valley in the Catskill Mountains near Phoenicia, New York, in 1972.

Since Pathwork originated in NYC in 1959,vital and vibrant communities spanning the globe, as well as the International Pathwork Foundation, have grown around the teaching and study of the Pathwork Guide Lectures. Pathwork now has a strong presence in North America, Europe, South America, and Australia, with small groups practicing Pathwork in many other parts of the world.?

Eva Pierrakos died in 1979, leaving behind the rich legacy of more than two hundred lectures, two flourishing Pathwork centers, and thousands of students and followers of the teachings.
